Home Web Server is easy to use Web Server, that allows you to serve web pages directly from your PC. You can set up user accounts, use server- replace-tags in your html code and monitor individual file downloads. It supports banned IP addresses, server internal redirects, multiple domain and root aliases, secure connection (https), cgi and isapi extensions (PHP) and allows you to change default ports..

This product has been compared quite often to commercial and of course also to some of the available freeware web servers, with the resulting fact that this product really has everything put into good package with very easy user interface and in most cases Home Web Server has the greatest coverage of features supported.

These pages you’re looking at the moment is one good example of what it’s cabable of. Even these pages have grown quite big, there is lots of Details that is only possible to create with Home Web Server as easy as it’s here. Please take a look of CGI and ISAPI applications available for download on these pages also. They all can be run on the Home Web Server with almost no work required at all.

New in version 1.8.0.158:

- added individual statistics for root aliases also
- added web server internal upload possibility
- domain aliases host names possible to just mask into the list (ex. *testsite.*)
- added individual statistics for domain aliases per host
- possible to check update on program startup, disabled by default
- added internal cookies to remember login for easier account usage
- re-added customizable mimelist with defaults button
- added possibility to user to change passwords from the server

“Even minor configuration changes made to servers can potentially”
Even minor configuration changes made to servers can potentially Impact your users and cause major disruptions to businesses. Every time a change is made, it makes a lot of sense to properly document and communicate it, especially when the servers are maintained by multiple team members. Another example is very common: changes made yesterday broke your systems, and you don’t remember the old settings. A popular Web Resource for IT professionals, TechRepublic, considers failure to maintain change documentation the 3rd among 10 worst things IT professionals can do. Logging all changes manually is a time consuming and error-prone task, and requires signficant efforts in environments of all sizes, whether you have 1 server or a thousand. Also beware of unauthorized changes, because nobody will ever document them at all.

NetWrix Server Configuration Monitor is a free tool for automated auditing and reporting of all changes made to server confgurations: hardware devices, drivers, software, services, networking settings, etc. The tool centrally monitors multiple servers and sends daily summary reports about any changes detected through the last day. New hardware devices, driver upgrades, changes to services and applications – no change will pass behind the scenes, no matter who made it and how. you can free download Server Configuration Monitor now.
