While the first version of Audition was essentially Cool Edit Pro under a different name, version 1.5 was released in May 2004 with software improvements made by Adobe, such as pitch correction, frequency space editing, CD project view, basic video editing and integration with Adobe Premiere, and many enhancements to other functions.

Version 2.0 was released on January 17th, 2006 with many major upgrades. Winamp 3 was a failure in terms of what it hoped to achieve, many users reverted back to Winamp 2 as it was faster and more recent versions included some of the features that 3.0 introduced.

Winamp 5 (working title) hopes to merge the best features of the two, as this is an alpha this version is not yet obvious but I am sure you guys will want to try it out anyway!
